โ€œClinical staff didn't need another rollup dashboard โ€” they needed to click a patient's name and see everything about them in one place. I built patient and doctor profile pages that update live off a single selection, plus surgery monitoring and billing rollups for administrators.โ€

The Situation

Where the Healthcare Provider Report gave leadership a population-level view, clinical staff needed the opposite: the ability to pull up one specific patient or one specific doctor and see everything relevant to them in a single screen, without digging through separate clinical, billing, and scheduling systems.

The Challenge

This wasn't an aggregation problem, it was a lookup problem. The report needed to behave less like a dashboard and more like a profile page โ€” select a patient or doctor from a list and instantly see their full record โ€” while still rolling up into overall billing and surgery oversight for administrators who needed the bigger picture.

My Approach

I built the report around single-entity "profile" pages for patients and doctors, using slicer-driven filter context so selecting one name updates every card on the page to that person's data, then added two roll-up pages for administrators.

Patient view โ€” a patient information card, billing summary card, and detail views for tests, surgery, and medication history, plus Length of Stay (LOS) details, all updating together the moment a care coordinator selects a patient.

Doctor view โ€” a doctor information card showing appointment details, patient ratings, and total revenue generated, giving each doctor (and their manager) a self-service view of their own practice performance.

Surgery Monitoring page โ€” tracked surgery scheduling, duration, and outcomes by doctor, giving OR coordinators real-time oversight of surgical throughput and doctor-level surgical volume.

Billing Details page โ€” rolled patient- and doctor-level billing up into an overall clinical billing summary, so administrators could see the full financial picture without leaving the report.
